The Great Trading Card Debate
Maya had the rarest card in the entire school — a holographic Golden Dragon from the "Legends of Valor" collection. It was worth fifty regular cards, and everyone wanted it. Having the card made Maya feel powerful, important, and — if they were being honest — a little superior.

Max's face fell, then brightened. "So... you're giving me my cards back?" "Yeah. And I'll trade you the dragon for ten cards — a fair ten. You pick."
Max's eyes went wide. He carefully selected his ten best cards and handed them over. It was an honest trade. Both sides walked away satisfied.
Word got around. Kids started coming to Maya to mediate trades, because they trusted Maya to be fair. The card collection wasn't as impressive anymore — no holographic dragon, no bragging rights. But Maya had something better: a reputation for honesty.
And that, Maya learned, is worth more than any card in any collection. Because cards get lost, bent, and forgotten. But the kind of person you are? That's the rarest card there is, and nobody can trade it away.
