Deep in Whispering Woods, Mira discovered a silver music box half-buried in autumn leaves. When she opened it, a pale blue fox with starlit fur gazed up at her—trapped inside.

"Help me," the fox whispered. "I've been caught here since someone wished for magic without honesty."

Mira reached toward her, but the fox shook her head. "Three truths must be spoken first."

The fox's eyes grew serious. "What have you taken but never returned?"

Mira's face burned. "My friend's bracelet," she admitted. "I said I didn't know where it was." The words felt heavy and true. The music box glowed faintly.

"What do you have that someone needs?"

Mira thought of her elderly neighbor eating thin soup while Mira's dinners overflowed. She whispered her realization aloud.

The fox's voice softened. "What have you forgotten to thank?"

Mira knelt and thanked the forest, the box, and the fox for showing her truth's power. The fox shimmered solid and warm, stepping into the world.

Together they walked home through starlight. The fox became her guardian—appearing whenever Mira needed courage to be honest, to share what she had, and to notice others' needs.

Every small magic, Mira learned, begins with truth.
